EXTERIOR DESIGN.
Broad. Muscular. Dynamic. The BMW X6 combines the solid stance of an X model with the sportiness of a coupé. The commanding front contains striking air inlets that provide an indication of the power lurking behind them. The large, sporty-shaped double kidney grille underlines this athletic presence, with an added air of supremacy provided by the double headlights and the fog lights, which are positioned wide on the vehicle’s exterior. When viewed from the side, the sporty, coupé-like silhouette comes to prominence, optically framed by the premium chrome surrounds of the windows. From this perspective, the active design language of the BMW X6 is recognisable in an instant: The first part of the unmistakable crease line extends from the powerfully shaped front wheel housings to the rear door handles. The second part begins at the rear wheel housing and tapers off elegantly at the rear of the vehicle. The dynamic nature of the BMW X6 is even more prominent at the impressively wide rear, where horizontal lines characterise the solid stance. The BMW X6 is ready to leave all limits behind.
Adaptive LED Headlights
The Adaptive LED Headlights comprise an accent light, LED light rings, lowbeam function, BMW Selective Beam (anti-dazzle High-Beam Assistant), LED fog lights, cornering lights, turn indicators, daytime running lights and Adaptive Headlights with variable light control. All functions are in LED technology, without exception.
The light distribution is automatically adapted to match the speed and the steering angle. The particularly bright light is similar to daylight and optimally and evenly illuminates the road, which improves visibility and makes driving less tiring. The four LED light rings lend a distinctive appearance, even during the day.LED fog lights
Fog lights increase short-range visibility in fog or precipitation, improving night-time driving safety. Along with their broad beam angle, they are notable for the colour of their light – which is extremely similar to daylight – their long lifespan and their low energy consumption. The fog lights are also a striking design detail beneath the double round headlights on the attention-grabbing front end of the BMW X6.
Rear lights with LED technology
The rear lights with lighting elements in full LED technology are each composed of two individual high-performance LED lighting elements. Both have the characteristic BMW L shape. That strengthens the rear end's identity as a BMW and makes the vehicle recognisable as a BMW even in the dark.
The L shaped lighting elements in the brake lights provide an additional echo of the design motif within the rear lights.
INTERIOR DESIGN.
Clear structures. Exclusive sportiness. High-quality craftsmanship. The interior of the BMW X6 is carefully thought through, right down to the last detail. In typical BMW style, the cockpit is fully orientated towards the driver, who enjoys an excellent overview thanks to the elevated seating position. The sporty shape of the seats guarantees optimum stability, even on the most dynamic journeys.
The coupé-like silhouette and all-encompassing interior contours ensure that vehicle occupants feel comfortable at all times. Light and dark interior surfaces create intense contrasts and the premium-quality materials and standard-feature leather trims send out a clear message: Perfection is of the essence.
MATERIALS.
Top quality is the dominating characteristic of the leather equipment and decorative trims in the BMW X6. A variety of expressive colour combinations are available. One option is the upper section of the instrument panel in black Soft Nappa leather; in combination with the Design Pure Extravagance package in Cognac/Black, this is enhanced by contrast stitching in brown. The lower section comes in Cognac. The contents of the M Sport package include the leather/Alcantara combination in Black and interior trims in Aluminium Hexagon. Dakota leather is also available in various different colours; the Coral Red variant with black contrast stitching combines with the interior trim in Fine Brushed Aluminium to create an appealing accent.
LIGHTING PACKAGE WITH AMBIENT LIGHT.
The lighting package includes numerous LED lights and lends the interior of the BMW X6 an elegant ambience that invites passengers to relax.
Ambient light – including a “welcome” mood and nine predefined lighting designs in blue, white and orange – fills the interior with a pleasant and relaxing mixture of indirect and direct lighting, emphasizing the vehicle's lounge atmosphere. The additional light sources of the Ambient lighting are found in the headliner cover, on the trim, in the front and rear footwells, in the front seat backrests and in all of the door compartments and panels, among other places.
Additional LED lights on the exterior offer additional everyday convenience; for example the vicinity lighting in the door handles for entering and exiting, or the practical reading lights in the rear.
